Friday Five: Five favorite books… lately!
- A Mind For God (by James Emery White): A Mind for God is written to help us break free from this cultural captivity through the spiritual and intellectual disciplines of reading, study and reflection
- Love is the Killer App (by Tim Sanders): How to win business and influence your friends. Will you be a lovecat?
- Stuff Christians Like (by Jonathan Acuff): Taken from his extremely successful blog, this is a simple book looking at the funny things we Christians do, and what that might say about our faith.
- The Fred Factor (by Mark Sanborn): How Passion in your work and life can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
- Sun Stand Still (by Steven Furtick): What Happens when you dare to ask God for the impossible.
(the BIBLE is a must, and collectively could beat all of these books with a Chuck Norris Round House Kick)
What book have you found your nose in the middle of??

1. Think Christianly by Jonathan Murrow
2. The Next Story by Tim Challies
3. Family Shepherds by Voddie Baucham
4. Christ and Culture Revisited by D.A. Carson
Chris- thanks for your input- I’ve yet to read any of those books!! I’ve heard to Baucham’s book, that it is a great read and brilliant perspective in regards to reaching families and keeping families!!
Read Sun Stand Still.. Great Quote from there, “If your dream doesnt scare you, then it probably insults God.”
A couple of books I would like to recommend for those that are looking to live a Life the is Weird to this World: Crazy Love by Francis Chan; Radical by David Platt
For those that are feeling that there is more inside of them, they have dreams that they just can’t figure out, let me suggest: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge and Windows to the Soul by Ken Gire..
That’s funny, just this morning I picked back up Sun Stand Still and read that quote, and stopped… and then saw that you commented with the same quote… Great books, have read them all but Gire’s book- will have to check it out!
